History of Jaipur International Film Festival 2020-2021

JIFF(Jaipur International Film Festival) is the World’s Largest Competitive festival (in the fiction of the films).
The Jaipur International Film festival(JIFF), this festival is world’s fastest-growing Film festival, Which is held per annum in the month of January in Jaipur, Rajasthan India.
The purpose of this film festival is to marketing the new movie makers who not more famous in the world, ideas, exchange of data, information, & culture between India & other Countries within the context of their social and cultural ethos.
JIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the planet through the medium of films & documentaries.

Though the JIFF(Jaipur International film festivals) became a daily affair in most of the different countries yet most of them cater only to chose audiences also as entertain commercially successful.

However, JIFF intends to arrange a festival that connects the film fans & moviegoers with the planet, especially the intense filmmakers & their associates so on cause a greater.
The Eleventh JIFF 2020 has received 2411 films from 100 countries and 240 films nominated for screening.
The Eleventh Aryan JIFF in 2019 has been received 2221 films from 103 countries and only 232 films are nominated for screening in Jaipur International Film Festival.
The Tenth JIFF 2018 has received 2019 films from 100 countries and 136 films nominated for screening.

The Ninth JIFF 2017 has received 2004 films from 100 countries.

The Sixth JIFF(Jaipur International Film Festival) in 2014 has received approx 1587 films from 90 countries.

The Fifth Jaipur International Film Festival in 2013 has received approx 1397 films from 90 different countries.

The Fourth JIFF in 2012 has received approx 902 films from 70 different countries.

The Eighth JIFF 2016 has received 2176 films from 100 countries.

The Seventh JIFF 2015 has received 1807 films from 100 countries.

This category is merely for Asian continent for feature fiction films, who have produced/directed a minimum of 5 films in their respective career, we request you please submit your film. It’s a non-competitive international nominations category, during this category will screen the highest two or three films out of all submissions.

Rule and Regulation in Jaipur Literature Film Festival

The film festival is being organized by the Jaipur International festival Trust and with support from the Indian industry, in Jaipur Rajasthan industry and filmmakers from all around the world.

Objectives of JIFF:
The purpose of this film festival is to push newer and intimate with moving picture manufacturers, exchange data, information, concepts & culture between India & alternative nations within the context of their social and cultural attributes. JIFF has conjointly promoted relationships and co-operation among individuals of the whole world through the medium of Short films & documentaries.
Though the film festivals it’s become an everyday affair in most countries however most of them cater solely to chose the audience moreover as entertain the commercially sure-fire filmmakers and connected personalities. However, JIFF intends to prepare a pageant that connects the film fans & movies goers with the globe, particularly the intense film producer & their associates therefore on creating a larger understanding of the art of film creating.

g) World/Asian/Indian/Rajasthan/Jaipur Premier
h) Jaipur Critics – For feature fiction films solely, best film award from film critics
i) unearned Asia – WHO produced/directed minimum of five films in their individual career from Asia

l) In these Famous Film Festival of Jaipur only allowed Crowdfunding, Web Series, International Co-Production, Mobile Film & Film Market are important categories for JIFF(Jaipur International Film Festival)

3. The JIFF Director reserves the proper to exclude films that aren’t in conformity with aims of the festival,

4. COMPETITION – Feature Fiction/Documentary Feature Films by administrators from All Continents.

4.1 Films entered within the Competition Section should fulfill the subsequent conditions:
4.1.1 Films should be feature films/documentary options.
4.1.2 They need to free/produce between the first Septs of the year 2019 and Gregorian calendar month 2020 (not released however and in post-production films are accepted in World/Asian/Indian premier standing in main competition). The eligibility amount is going to be determined by the Censorship visa/certificate of the country wherever the film has been produced/released. For not free films, however, not needed any censor or capable censor certificate.
4.1.3 within the case of co-productions, a minimum of one in every one of the producers/production firms should have the proper to sanction the participation of the film in competition within the pageant and authority to receive the award, if any, is won.
4.2 Entries are going to be subject to preview by a committee brought about by this pageant Director. a movie that’s not acceptable for the Competition Section will be shown within the World Premier.
4.3 In Jaipur International Film Festival, The competition is going to the control of subject to the acceptance of a minimum of seven eligible films from totally different Continents in the World.

4.6 Awards

For exhibition – This type of subsequent criteria are going to be followed in the Jaipur Literature Festival:

5.1. The film should be a feature / Documentary feature.

5.2. It should be released or produced after 1 September 2018.

(Not necessary for the upcoming film- with the world or the Indian premier and for those films Which not completed yet.

We accept all types of short movies unreleased and films that are during post-production in feature fiction and documentary feature.

5.3. Films should be in 16 mm, 35mm, 70mm, and digital format, now also accepted in DVD or in BluRay format or also online screener for the selection of purpose.

Entrants should inform the Festival Director by 15th December 2020 about their participation, including the titles of films and therefore the names and addresses of the administrators, producers, production companies

and the world sales companies are against each film titles.

7. DVD’s or Online Preview link for Selection in the Jaipur Literature Festival

8.1 Film Producers, Distributors their duly authorized representatives or duly authorized Government organization or any agency of the participating countries may enter their films for the Competition, World, Indian or

8.2 The Festival Director can also invite films it considers of interest.

8.3 The Form, duly filled in, separately for every film Which proposed to be entered it should reach the Festival Director by the 15th December 2020 or check the deadline

9.1 DCP’s, BluRay’s or Online Screener of films Which are selected for the exhibition within the Festival must reach the Festival office at Jaipur on or before month December 15, 2020.

The title(s) of the film(s) sent, the number of reels, shipping details including the dates of dispatch and therefore the air consignment number must be faxed/e-mailed to the Festival Director.

DCP’s/BluRay’s should ideally be air freighted/couriered on to the Festival Director at the address and online screener by email.

Special arrangements are made for clearance of film festival consignments addressed to the festival Director through the Indian Customs.

The Festival Director won’t be liable for any film DCP’s, or BluRay’s, etc.

That is diverted to other parts of cities in India.

9.2 After closing of the Festival, the DCP’s/BluRay’s are going to be returned (return expenses are borne by the applicant) through air-freight or diplomatic channels, to the entrants or to

their duly authorized representative mentioned within the Entry Form.

Transportation and insurance costs of the DVDs, Blu-rays, DCP’s related to all the documents, photographs, and publicity materials from the country of origin to the JIFF Festival Office shall be

The Insurance of DCP’s/BluRay’s in transit from the country of origin to the Festival Director and from the Festival Director to the country of origin is going to be the

The Festival Director will make sure the DCP’s/BluRay’s against damage, partial and total, by fire, theft or the other unnatural causes from the instant it takes delivery of the

prints to the instant it hands them back to the concerned airline/agency for dispatch, in conformity with Addendum 1 of the FIAPF Regulations for International Film Festivals.

The insurance value is going to be the DCP’s/BluRay’s cost as laid out in the Entry Form, supported by documents from the concerned laboratory.

Damage to the DCP’s/BluRay’s, if any, should be certified by an agency, at the value of the sender.

11.1 The DVD’s (These are also allowed in JIFF two DVD’s or Blu Ray or Online link with a secure password) for selection in Jaipur Literature Festival 2020 (selection committee

of 13th JIFF) should be sent “freight pre-paid” i.e.

11.2 Festival Director would not be paying any charges aside from the air-freight charges.

11.3 The Festival Director won’t bear freight or the other charges for unsolicited films, Videos, DVDs sent thereto if these aren’t selected for screening at the Festival.
11.4 The special arrangements made by the Festival Director for clearance through Indian Customs in Jaipur are applicable only within the case of consignments directly air-freighted for the asking and addressed to the present Festival Director. within the case of publicity material, etc. sent pre-paid by Courier Services or through agents in India, the concerned Courier Service/agent should be instructed to deliver the fabric on to the office of the Festival Directorate in Jaipur. The Festival Director shall not be liable for any material that’s diverted to another city in India.

12. Subtitling
Films will normally be shoot in their original language and version. Films during a language aside from English must have subtitles in English. Films that arrive without subtitles, or with subtitles aside from in English, where such subtitles are required, shall not be screened within the Festival. All films should be with none watermark and advertisement.

13. Screening
13.1 Entries under all categories shall be of films certified by Information and Broadcasting Ministry or Central Board of Film Certification, India.
13.2 No accepted film is going to be shown outside the Festival city by the Festival Director.
13.3 The Festival proposes to possess a maximum of 5 screenings per film as per FIAPF Regulations for non-competitive festivals and competitive specialized festivals which permit for a maximum of 5 screenings per film.

14. Excerpts for Television
For the promotion of films entered within the Festival on television, producers/authorized entrants are requested to provide four excerpts of the film(s) entered, each of a maximum duration of three minutes, to the Festival Director. These should be supplied preferably on the DVC Pro format or Beta (PAL system) format also now in Digital format with good quality.

15. General
15.1 Classroom and advertising films aren’t eligible for participation in any section.
15.2 Films not presenting sufficient technical qualities permanently public screening are often refused after checking of the DCP’s/BluRay’s/Online Screener by the DCP’s/BluRay’s/Online Screener Checking Unit of the Festival Director.
15.3 The participants must make sure that they need the proper to participate within the Jaipur International Festival, Jaipur India with reference to parties connected with the production/distribution of the participating film and/or other right holders/licenses.
15.4 Participation within the Festival implies acceptance of those Regulations.
15.5 The Festival Director will decide all matters not expressly provided for in these regulations but in conformity, with the provisions of the International Regulations for film festivals and its, all decisions are final and binding on all parties in this festival.

SOME MORE RULES AND NOTES:
6. All films should be with none watermark and advertisement for final screening.

7. Screening won’t be allowed before one month of the Jaipur international film festival, and every one submitter/s will inform to festival organizers for any screening in India and in any country for an equivalent.

8. an entire screening schedule of selected films shall be put abreast of the festival website: around December 21, 2020.

9. Transportation and insurance costs of DVDs/Blu-rays/DCP’s, related documents, photographs and publicity materials from the country of origin to the Festival Office shall be borne by the applicant.

10. JIFF 2021 would be allowed to use all photographs and publicity materials received alongside the Entry and therefore the same won’t be returned to the entrants.

17. Prize and certificate are going to be awarded to the director (s) or producer(s) of the film.
For any duties, fees and charges accrued from the transporting of the trophy are going to be covered by the recipient, not the Festival organizers.
18. All shortlisted entries will receive a certificate. (Cost of certificate production and courier charges will cover the submitter or Director or producer, if you’re coming in JIFF please collect, your participation certificate during a special program for certificate distribution during the festival, there’ll be no charges.)
19. Anybody can submit one or quite one entry. there’s no limit for submission.
20. Films once selected and submitted for the ultimate screening won’t be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances, until the Festival is over.

3. Send your film by Post/Courier with the entry form, 2 DVD and cheque/DD of the fee at the festival address. OR send by email all details.

11. A customs invoice (mostly for those filmmakers who are sending the film/s from out of India) should be included during this consignment which should be clearly marked: ‘FESTIVAL MATERIAL – CULTURAL VALUE’.

JIFF special committee members will prepare a report with audience feedback & audience photograph/s for all nominated and winning films during the film screening within the festival.

RULES FOR Short Documentary, Short Fiction, Short Animation Ad Film, Web Series & Mobile Film Eligibility Regulations:

1. All films or documentaries shot on film or Video (Analog / Digital format) between January 2018 to 2020 within a running duration of 30 seconds to 45 minutes are eligible for the festival.

2. Entries of all the films or documentaries (hereafter collectively called Films) shall be accepted only in DVD and BLURAY format OR Online screener. After nomination in Jaipur International Film Festival please send 2 BLURAY without any watermark and any Advertisement OR Online screener.

3. There shall be six categories within the festival: short fiction film, documentary short film, animation short film, mobile short film and web series.
A- To be eligible for brief film category competition section, a movie must be but 45 minutes in duration
B- Documentary competition section must not exceed the duration of quite 45 minutes
C- Animation competition section must not exceed the duration of quite half-hour
D- Web Series (each episode) and Mobile film competition section must not exceed the duration of quite half-hour
E- Ad film competition section must not exceed the duration of quite 10 minutes

4. If a movie isn’t eligible to be entered in any category (short fiction film, animation film, documentary, ad film, web series, and mobile film) are going to be eligible for the Critic Film and non-competition section.

5. If the language of the film is aside from English, it must be dubbed or subtitled in English.

6. Films could also be entered by any organization, agency, individual producer or director.

7. the choice of films/videos for JIFF 2021 is going to be done by a committee whose decision is going to be final. However, Festival Authorities reserve the proper to simply accept or reject any film that’s likely to offend sentiments, feelings or sensibilities of any caste, community, religion, and therefore the sector is probably going to market racism or ill will within the society.

8. an entire screening schedule of selected films shall be put abreast of the festival website: around December 21, 2020. (Its fixed date for each year)

9. Transportation and insurance costs of DVDs/Blu-rays/DCP’s related documents, photographs, and publicity materials from the country of origin to the Festival Office shall be borne by the applicant.

10. JIFF 2021 would be allowed to use all photographs and publicity materials received alongside the Entry and therefore the same won’t be returned to the entrants.

11. Student / Diploma films/videos can’t be considered as Director’s First film.

12. Censorship won’t be applicable to any films/videos entered within the festival.

13. The Festival Authorities will have the proper to screen (maximum 5 screening) in several cities of India on a non-commercial basis.

14. For promotional / publicity purposes, excerpts from any film entered within the festival could also be shown on any Television network / Internet or related media during the festival period.

15. Entry Forms with incorrect / inadequate / illegible / ambiguous particulars won’t be considered.

16. DVDs submitted for selection are going to be considered as final and no changes are going to be entertained after submission. it’s the only responsibility of the applicant to submit DVDs with none physical/quality defects.

17. Prize and certificate are going to be awarded to the director (s) or producer(s) of the film. For any duties, fees and charges accrued from the transporting of the trophy are going to be covered by the recipient, not the Festival organizers.

18. All shortlisted entries will receive a certificate. (Cost of certificate production and courier charges are going to be covered by the submitter or Director or producer, if you’re coming in JIFF please collect, your participation certificate in a special program for certificate distribution during the festival, there’ll be no charges.)
19. Anybody can submit one or quite one entry. there’s no limit for submission.
20. Films once selected and submitted for the ultimate screening won’t be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances, until the Festival is over.

21. The Festival proposes to possess a maximum of 5 screenings per film as per FIAPF Regulations for non-competitive festivals and competitive specialized festivals which permit for a maximum of 5 screenings per film.

22. DVD’s or Online Preview link for only For Selection
DVD’s or online preview links of films can also be sent for purposes of selection (selection committee of 13th JIFF) only so on reach the Festival Director not later than 15th November 2020. DVD’s can also be sent through diplomatic channels. Or send a web preview link with a secure password.

23. Participation within the Festival implies acceptance of those Regulations.

24. There’ll be separate awards for Ad Film, Web Series and Mobile film competition section.
Awards For Web Series – Only available for Top three web series
Awards For Mobile film – Only available Top three films
Awards For Ad film – Only available Top three ad films

24. Decisions of the Film Festival Authorities regarding all matters not expressly provided for these regulations or which require the interpretation of the clauses mentioned above the final and binding on all parties.

1. One person can submit a maximum of two entries. For the features: Page limit for (paper size A4, with one enter space and font (any font) size-12) 2-250 and for Shorts: page limit (A4, with one enter space, font (any font) size-12) 2-80.
2. The screenplay is aside from language Hindi, English, Rajasthani, Bengali, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, French, Malayalam, Tamil, it should be dubbed or translated in Hindi or English.
3. All entries should be produced/written/recorded after 1st January 2018 are eligible for the competition.
4. Entries are going to be accepted until the ultimate deadline only.
5. In each category, there’ll be the highest 3 awards. (top 3 winner/s)

6. All the selected entries will get a participation certificate.
7. After submitting the entry JIFF won’t return any submitted material.
8. If in any category JIFF will receive but 5 submissions, therein condition there’ll be no competition.
9. The script, story, and the screenplay should be your fundamental composition (मौलिक रचना). Your entry will be canceled automatically when you provide any misinformation.
10. The result will be announced during the closing ceremony or after the festival if entries will be received more than expected.

Rule No:- 17. Prize and certificate will be awarded to only the writer(s), director or producer(s) of the film or script. For any duties, fees and charges accrued from the transporting of the trophy will be covered by the recipient, not by the Festival organizers.
